ashley.lucas Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 So my friend and her boyfriend broke up awhile back, he broke up with her to be free and single and she was told not to wait for him so she went and hung out with friends and her first crush asked her to hang out and stuff so they hung out as friends and about a month after hanging out they ended up sleeping together. So after that she knew it wasn't right to lead him on so she cut it off. About 2 weeks later her ex boyfriend wants to talk about things and discuss getting back together but hasn't yet. So one day she told me that when they were hanging out he asked her if she had done anything with someone else which she replied no because she didn't want to hurt him but also because she felt it wasn't his business. So she tells me about it and she feels really bad for lying to protect him nd she says that soon when they hangout again and talk about getting back together she is going to lay it on the table to see if he wants to know she is going to give him the opportunity to know. Her question to me was if he says he doesn't want to know and just wants the past to be the past should she feel bad or move forward with him and forget it?
pidgeon1010 Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 you lied once and now you want to ask him if he wants to know the true? Either you come out outright and tell him the truth and put the ball in his court or stay silent and move on (which would be the dishonest thing to do). He broke up with you so he has no say in whom you date or sleep with when you are not together. That's how breakups work. If he can't live with the fact that you slept with someone else whilst you two were not together, then it wasn't meant to be.
