So my best friend came to me with a situation and I needed advice on what to tell her. So she really liked this one kid in high school named Cody and he ended up leading her on for 2 years and really messing with her So she ended up dating this other guy Reedie they went out for 3 years and at one point in the relationship she got confused but didn't do anything about it she just let it go and she never cheated on Reedie. But fast forward 3 years he had been looking for a way out of the relationship because he wanted to be single and free and party. So she was very devastated begged and begged him because she loved him so much. He said he still loves her but wants to be by himself and he didn't do it on purpose but he kept her on the side and one day he would want her back and then the next still wanna be single and told her to move on so she was very hurt and depressed for 2 months. Any who her first crush texted her wanting to be with her and apologized for everything in the past and she hung out with him a couple times to keep her mind off Reedie so he ended up taking her on dates and stuff and they ended up sleeping together so after that happened She realized That she just wanted to focus on herself and didn't want to lead anyone on so she cut it off with Cody and started moving on. Fast forward a couple weeks Reedie wants her back. Her question to me was what Does she say if asks her if she was with anyone else? I told her say no cuz it's none of his business and she owes him nothing for hurting her. I think it would just cause problems but I don't think she owes him anything. I need some opinions or advice please. Oh also when she slept with Cody She was upset cuz the day before she found out 2 years ago that he tried to kiss one of her friends. I told her a she did nothing wrong. Does she owe him anything

She found out Reedie tried to kiss one of her friends

He probably knows she's at least gone out on a date. I have a hard time believing that under the circumstances, she wouldn't want him to know that. My theory is he wants to be free but doesn't want anyone else to have her, which is why he's back now. I bet she made sure he knows she at least went out but left out the pertinent details. I think the reason he's back is because it looked like she was indeed going to see other people if he didn't. I'd set him free for a few years and date around. But I know it's easier said than done. It's just not healthy to be the one who is overly invested with someone who wants you and everyone else too.

It's just a very sad situation because she loved Reedie more than she loved herself she would have done anything for that kid and still would. He wants her back and she wants him back she is just wondering if she owes him anything if he asks her if She has done anything with someone else because he did tell her that it would hurt and make him physically sick if she was with someone else but what did he expect her to do to just wait around? Would it make her look bad if she says no because its none of his business.

Why does she want to go back to someone who hurt her so much? That would be what I'd be asking her. It sounds like he's really not into her, if he's willing to dump her and try and kiss her friends. Tell her to have more respect for herself and find someone who cherishes her.

If she tells him, he's likely to hold it against her and bring it up everytime they argue....and if she doesn't, she risks him finding out somehow anyway and holding it against her.

Really she's better off to try and forget about him for good.
