Does anybody else find this frustrating?

So, in a previous (and my first) post I had explained that I was dating this guy, it was going great, then I moved away temporarily for work and he broke up with me at the time and told me he had met his current girlfriend 1 week after he last saw me.

After 3 months, we were back in touch and even saw each other in person. It was fun and lively, like old times. He kept asking me to reach out to him so we could spend more time together. But, when I did, he would take a while responding or had excuses about why he couldn't see me. When I asked how things were with the girlfriend, he wouldn't respond.

Anyway, so I fed up, I told him, let's have a meet up and just see where it goes, that is, if he didn't have a girlfriend. And he responded that he missed sex with me and was quite graphic in all the things he wanted to do with me in the bedroom, BUT that he couldn't now because he was seeing someone. He then said he was sad to not be able to see me because it would have been great to hold me again and resume our incredible sex life. OK...who does that when they have a girlfriend?! I felt like saying something to put him in his place, but I realized that this is how guys survive...keeping their options opened. But still, is this frustrating to women who have experienced this? And a question for the men here...do you do this when in a relationship?

Call me old-fashioned, but I would never insinuate to another man that I would have sex with him in a heartbeat if I was seeing someone.

OK, thanks for listening to me vent :p

No, I definitely never did that while in a relationship, it'd be totally unacceptable to text sexual things to my ex just as he'd think it's unacceptable if his new gf did the same. Sounds like some player who wants multiple options at once

Short answer: I don't ...they do. I could have sex with any ex from my past. Not being cocky or anything, but it's happened for the past 15yrs..Just going by that.
