Scott S Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 Today, Gina & I are celebrating our 9th wedding anniversary. Not wanting to crow, just wanted to post something positive!
Author Scott S Posted May 4, 2005 Author Posted May 4, 2005 Originally posted by LucreziaBorgia Any big plans for tonight? Thanks! Yes, actually. Dinner at a very nice, candle-lit restaurant call Louisienne's. We haven't been there lately (it's a bit expensive), we hope it's still nice.
IhavenoFREAKINclue Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 Thats great Scott! Good to hear success stories once in a while!! Hope you get laid!
Illusion24 Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 Wow, that's beautiful...Wish you a million more happy years together!! Tell me your secret?? Pleeeasseee!!!
EnigmaXOXO Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 "Crow" all you want Scott! After nine years you both deserve it! Thanks for putting the 'love' back in the Shack. And Gina's a lucky lady to have found a man who isn't afraid to shout it from the rooftop. Cheers to you both. May you have many, many more!

Pleeeasseee!!! Thanks all! Secret? I don't know if there's a secret. A marriage is like any other relationship. One needs to be considerate & sensitive of the other, & willing to sometimes (or frequently) defer their own wants or needs in favor of the other for a time. Of course, it helps if you & the other love each other a lot, & in other ways besides physical attraction. After all, none of us will look like 20-something hard-bodies all our lives!
Merin Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 Congrats Scott! Hope you and Gina have an amazing night out
quankanne Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 hey, happy anniversary ~ nine years is no small feat these days!!!! just be sure to make the evening extra special by giving her a really good foot massage. LOL that'll guarantee at least another 15-20 years because she won't want to give THAT up

Our hand lotion consumption rate is at least twice the national average!

Author Scott S Posted May 6, 2005 Author Posted May 6, 2005 Originally posted by RecordProducer Congratulations! So how does it feel to be married for 9 years? Are you still in love? Thanks! It feels (or rather, should feel) like the other person is almost a part of you, & that you are a part of the other person. You can't imagine being without that person any more than you can imagine being without one of your arms. Yes, we're very much in love, & in many more ways over the years.

Each has different needs, & what works for one couple may fail miserably for another. Open communication & understanding each other's "love language" go a long way. ________________________________________ What if people stopped throwing rice at weddings, & threw potatoes instead?
