pray925 Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 I've been dating someone for about 3 months. His birthday is in two weeks. I plan on taking him to see a musician he's been wanting to check out, but it's not until the week after his birthday. I want to make sure he's free that day to be able to go, so how should I approach it? Would it be weird to give him the gift early? I don't want to be overzealous, but I'd like for him to be able to go.
acrosstheuniverse Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Just ask him to keep that date free for his birthday surprise. On the birthday itself you can give him the tickets if you like or tell him who he's going to see. Chances are if it's a musician he's into, he'll already know they're playing anyway so you don't want to risk him buying tickets for himself! I don't think it's overzealous for a three month dating gift at all. It's a great idea. My boyfriend and I can never think of things we actually want for our birthdays so we tend to just surprise each other with experiences like that (gig tickets, a spa day, a bungee jump). I think it's nicer than trying to find a gift. Time together is more meaningful.
smackie9 Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Put the ticket or write the invite into his Bday card. Then give him a personal massage later.
