For some guys making out isn't enough to get a boner. I'm a physically fit 26yo and I can only get it up with a BJ or HJ unless I just woke up in which case I always have 'morning wood'.

My guy is late 30's and had a lot of issues early on (first month of sexual activity) and it crushed my self esteem each time it happened. He assured me it wasn't me, and it had happened before though not quite so consistently. He went to see a doctor who cleared him. He gave him a pill that he used a couple times for successful sex then stopped taking the pills, and it never came back.

 

It just went away and hasn't been a problem even once since. I'm not sure what happened the first couple times, but afterward the mental stress (even though I tried not to stress him out, I'm sure it was obvious that I was taking it personally.) exacerbated it. Once the confidence was back, no more issues. And it is WONDERFUL. He has a lot of talent. I am glad I didn't assume and bail.
