michellew
So I met a guy on Tinder a couple of weeks ago... I think we've hit it off pretty well and have been on three good dates now. Although it's too soon for exclusively or anything like that, I really don't like him seeing the last time I logged on to Tinder was, nor do I want to see his activity. Silly, I know, but I really rather not know and save ourselves some insecurity along the way. Is it wise to just 'unmatch' him or would that give off the impression that I'm no longer interested once he realizes he's been unmatched (or he could also think I cancelled my account)? Ugh. I hate online dating. lol
joseb
I hooked up with a girl on Tinder recently and she unmatched me (we had switched to sms/phone anyway) I assume it was so I couldn't see if she was on or not. It doesn't bother me as I'm not looking for a LTR anyway, so guys mileage may vary. If you unmatch, make sure you text him so he knows its not cause you dont like him. I'm pretty sure he is looking for a LTR. This is a tough one. If I tell him the reason I unmatched him, he'll think I'm crazy. lol He hasn't texted today. I'll wait till he does and then proceed with unmatching. Hopefully he'll think I just cancelled my account.
joseb
I guess another question is : if you like him, and you are looking for a LTR and you think he is, do you need to be on Tinder ?
loveweary11
I found "Uninstall App" worked best with my Tinder.

No, I don't need to be on there, but I also don't want to put all of my eggs in one basket and rush in like a fool. I've learned from the past and this rarely works for anyone. :/

Might convince him to step up his game with you if he thinks guys are still messaging you too.

I guess I just don't want him thinking I'm on there meeting a ton of guys either, plus I really don't want to see his activity.

You only see his activity if you click on the messages, and then click on his pic. You can not do that

If it doesn't work out with him you can go back on and keep hunting.

If you're not looking to meet anyone else, and you don't want to see his activity, don't open the app!
guest569
Just calm down, put your insecurity aside and wait and see what happens.
candie13
girl, if you can't handle insecurities, don't do online dating! Knowing is ALWAYS better than not knowing, but not knowing can be an active choice as well. Personally, I find unmatching someone rude or the ultimate sign of lack of interest. I always unmatch men looking for hook ups or in a RS or married or separated. Or dawgs . My strategy is really simple: if I never want to hear from a person again, I unmatch. Otherwise I just play it liek an adult. I'm not taking dating that personally. Unless the guy promises me stuff and doesn't deliver, I have no reason to unmatch.
