VedderisBetter Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 I am going on a date with a girl next Saturday. My family reunion is two weeks after our first date. Would it be too forward of me to ask this girl to the reunion and just warn her about my no filter uncles lol. Of course, this is if the first date goes well enough for a second one. Have any of you brought a new girl to a family reunion? How'd it go? Some of these family members will be my third and fourth cousins so I haven't met some of them either.

If this first date is one of the first times you've spent actual time together, then I would pass on inviting her. It seems awfully soon to be meeting your extended family.

d0nnivain Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 You can invite her next year. If you do invite her to this reunion, all sorts of people will conclude you are more serious then you are. If she has a brain she won't go with you. A wedding would be different because few people like to go to weddings alone.

Tribble Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Gosh no! That would freak me out. Meeting family is a big thing. I met my bfs family after 2 months and I totally freaked out because I thought it was too soon. Circumstances meant we couldn't really wait but yea, not right after a first date!

You're not even bf/gf at that point, what are you even going to introduce her as? Ask her to come for next year's reunion if you're still together then. And that's assuming you GET together to start with...
