It seems to pathetic.....but me and my ex watched it together.....and i dunno.....it makes me sad, but i just can't stop listening....i guess i'll eventually get out of this stage

your reasoning for listening to the soundtrack over and over could be bad....if you never get over it.

but as far as it being odd. Not at all....... it would be like watching the movie over and over.....it just makes you remember him.

Not at all...it's your coping mechanism.

I stayed at my ex's overnight the night he dumped me, because I was originally supposed to (so I had all my stuff) and it was raining pretty hard so he wouldn't let me drive home (I live a half hour away and I knew I wouldn't make it back home in one piece - odd how the weather played so much of a role).

All throughout the night and the next morning (because I didn't sleep well!) I kept hearing the same two songs in my head - one by Death Cab for Cutie, called "A Lack of Color" and this other old, cheesy song by Dionne Warwick called "I'll Never Love This Way Again." I listened to the Death Cab song a few times in the day following the breakup, but one morning after hearing it I broke down and called him. So I've told myself to stop already!

Even the most depressing music has a way of helping us cope. After all, you can't repress those despondent feelings forever; they'll only come back when you least expect them and make you feel worse. Allow yourself to cry and get these feelings out, but don't let it drag on forever.

Nothing wrong at all with listening to it.

I listened to many different things, particularly the music to the movie Castaway, which really isn't heard until Tom Hanks gets off the island and loses Wilson. It's such beautiful music and kinda reminds you that even though you may have lost something you have to go on.

All that from a volleyball. Jesus Christ.

If you want a good cry over a sountrack listen to the soundtrack from the movie "Somewhere in Time". I hear that music and get lumps in my throat. That movie is great to watch when you need a pity party and a good cry.
