My ex dumped me 14 days ago, but I still see her most days simply because of the proximity of our lives. How do you deal with it? I am left feeling physically sick most days because of it at the moment, and I can't find any way to break out of this pattern.

What can you change to reduce having to cross paths? Can you take a new route to work, buy your coffee somewhere else or get a new grocery store? Alter the pattern / times in your life.

If you are both in the same class, just sit far away from her, in front of her if you can so you can't see her.

If you work together, consider job hunting.

All sound suggestions. I can't change the route I have to get the bus, the bus stop and the shops where I have to shop are right next to her sister's house and to be honest this is really the main issue.

I am moving hopefully at the beginning of next year but until then I don't know how to deal with this, it's once or maximum twice a day at the moment.

Take an earlier bus.

Or walk to another stop.

well most exes try and avoid each other ... you might be luck and she will be dodging you. being broken up with is embarrassing

I know how you feel sometimes. My ex works near my area and some of her co-workers live on my block. I've seen her car outside my building a couple of times, but I completely avoid it and walk another way. Plus I know the time she gets out of work so if I have to go somewhere I leave earlier than 6:30 and no later than 7:10. Between those 2 times you won't find me outside, I have no interest in running into her and her friends.
