Where is really the best place to get objective unbiased advice? I am not so sure that friends and family are the best resources. They may be well intentioned but as they say the road to hell is paved with good intentions. Good intentions are not enough.

Friends and family often come from an emotional bias and they are more likely to tell us what we want to hear and not what we need to hear even if it is uncomfortable. So having said all that do you think an Internet forum where people don't know you from Adam are the closest resources to giving unbiased and objective advice? Even Moms don't always get it right when giving advice to their sons about dating. Some of the advice may be sound but not all.

The subject matter about which you seek advice will change the answer. You want objective info about your career, a mentor may be best. You want objective info about your looks, a stylist might be best. You want objective info about your mental health, turn to a therapist.

Just post it on facebook like everyone else.

Most of my Facebook friends are telling me what I want to hear. Not the best source.

What, exactly, is the issue or problem?
