Ok, I've been talking to this guy on OLD, and made plans to meet for a drink on Wednesday, he gave me his number to text him. So, I confirmed to meet on Wednesday at 7. Then, I gave him my number. He hasn't responded to my message on OLD and hasn't even reach out via text. Should I text him first? I've been waiting for him to text, but no. And I know he saw my message because he was just online.

You have absolutely nothing to lose by texting first.

I would just say go for it, it's just a first date, if you've planned to go out on Wednesday and you don't want to get stood up just confirm that he will be there...

I guess I'll text him, but I'm wondering why he hasn't initiated a text.

I just texted him and no response. I know he uses his OLD app thought his phone because thats how he's been messaging. I get the feeling he's flaking out.

Try not to get too invested in these guys. Seems like you end up get involved with a bunch of flakes. If he said you are going to meet on Wednesday at 7pm then give him a chance to respond. He might be working right now or whatever. Try not to be overly anxious about your dates.

No, don't text him. If he were interested he wouldn't forget that you two had plans.

Funny, this like just happened to me this weekend. I agree, try not to get too down or too anxious, but the truth is, I did too. I did call him and leave a voicemail asking if we were still meeting up as planned. After that, I didn't hear back either by text or call for over a day so I left it at that. I think it's fair to give the benefit of the doubt because it was our first date. But that's it. Plenty of fish in the sea.
