I can't lose her, :(

Recommended Posts

So me and my partner have been on an off for a couple of years now. We met on bad terms, she was still seeing her ex an I lied about a few things too. We then got back together the start of this year as she was strong enough to tell her parents that it was I she needed in her life no one else. Her parents are obsessed with her ex which always put pressure on our relationship as they wanted nothing to do with me ever.

Her parents kicked her out the start of this year which then she moved in with my dad an my brother. Things were good as I had the girl back I love ever so dearly however things got tough as I found it hard to please everyone as she lived with my family. I lost my job, things got tough an she believed I became Complacent and lazy towards her. We argued quite a lot but we always made up however 2 weeks ago she said she needed to move back home as she didn't like it at my dad's anymore an her parents would take her back. Since then things have been terrible, arguments etc constantly an now she wants to break up. I met her today an suggested some no contact instead as I felt that was the next best thing. I think her parents have made her change her mind about me as they have before with aborting our baby.I don't know what to do I love her more than anything. Is no contact the best thing atm I don't know? She said she can't see me with anyone else an loves me so much. Help!!

Yikes.. Sorry you're in this spot my man. I have to say, what you wrote describes perfectly the meaning of a toxic/dysfunctional relationship. Off/on relationships never work out as you're discovering. Two people may love each other but simply can't get along. This happens a lot.

You can to come to terms on if you want to keep getting back on that toxic relationship roller coaster ride vs. finding someone you're more compatible with. I've had plenty of relationships that included a break up or two. They never lasted. When a relationship breaks, it should stay that way. I don't know any long term couples that experience a break up..

I have heard of plenty of cases where people have broken up and gotten back together. For example my parents broke up for 6 months then got back together and got married. Also I agree though this seems like a pretty prime example of a toxic relationship.
