Last week, my 24-year-old first cousin was diagnosed with leukemia. He starts chemotherapy tomorrow. After chemo, he needs a bone marrow transplant. It hasn't been decided yet who's gonna donate, but I've done a little research and decided it can't be too bad if I volunteered. If I'm a good match to donate, then the little bit of pain I'd have to go through cannot bother me at all if it means that my cousin's life will be saved.

So, does anyone here have any experience with donating bone marrow or know of someone who has?
