breaking up....next week??? when going home for summmer...we will be 15 mins apart.

To make things short, my boyfriend and I have been dating for 1.5 years. We are both in school and work always gets in the way between us. After 4 days of not hearing from him, I became upset and told him that ignoring someone for 4 days is unnacceptible. On the fifth day, he had more work and and finallly on the sixth day, my mother went for a large surgery related to cancer, I finally got an interview at a great company to work at, and I got salmonella posioning. Still no call. Finally I called and told him that work was work, but this is rediculous.

 

We (rather, he) have decided to break up due to the need of concentrating in grad school for next year and also because of the fact that **** hit the fan. We will be in the same city next year (approximately 15mins apart) but since we still have feelings for eachother, we've also decided that we will break up next friday, when each of us goes home on vacation.

 

All this is very strange right now because I do have time with him and I dont know how to act--cuddle, get close, and know that he's leaving me? or step back and get in more fights because we only have one week left. I really dont know how to feel or how to act.

 

Anyone have similar stories? Advice? etc.

Honey, which part of "break-up" don't you understand? You better start thinking of him as your EX-boyfriend. It takes two people to start a relationship, but only one to break it off.

I feel for you and I am sorry. Give him some time and don't contact him whatsoever. If he loves you, he will come back on his knees. The sooner he realizes that he will lose you forever the more the chances that he gets back to you.

Don't do the mistake we've all done and chase after him. It doesn't work!

awwwww you sound so sweet. I feel for you. I'm goin through the same situation. I got irritated with my ex a couple of weeks ago because I couldn't get over the fact that he's goin to NY for grad school, and I'll be in school here in charleston. He broke it off w/ me....I guess he was the strong one ya know.....I know inevitably we would....but we both still love each other.....and everytime i tried to break up I would come runnin back because I loved him. Anyway, just know that others are goin through the same thing...and I dunno if we'll get back together. I hope, but either way I'll be happy with my life.
