The attorney that I work for gave me some beautiful roses. I mean beautiful!!!! They are amazing. They really are, I am not a rose fanatic but these are marvelous!!!

 

He gave them to me because lately we've had a workload on a case that is going to trial plus the other day I had to go real early to court with him to translate and I think he felt bad. Whatever it was, it was so nice of him :)

Actually no. I think that it was a beautiful gesture. It was very thoughtful, unlike money.

Yeah but the roses show that he took the time to think of something to give me, it shows he values me as an employee and person. If he would have gave me money it would be like "here I did not want to think of what to give you and I just felt pressured so there, take your money and go" :p I know I am weird.

So let's assume that 3 dozen roses cost about $150.00. (Lord knows I have NO idea how much 3 dozen cost, I've never gotten that many :rolleyes: )....lol....ANYWAY...you'd rather have some stinky flowers that make your office smell like a funeral parlor than the $150.00? What about when they're dead? Answer that question in a few more days! :p

Two situation,

 

1.Login to your net banking and transfer 150 dollars in Naive's account (takes possibly a minute)

 

2.Get into your car, go to florist, select the flowers (roses), get the boquet and give it to Naive.

 

Now tell which one is better, if the flowers stink after a day then see this situation,

 

Naive gets 150 dollars, goes to a nice restaurant , has a nice dinner and next morning everything is flushed out :laugh:

 

now tell :laugh:

Well my roses are dead now but just the thought that my boss with his busy schedule got off his mean butt and went to buy some roses was so nice. I can always get bonuses you know but it's not always that some does something so thoughtful.

Don't go to Disney land, save the money and then buy a .......hmm....let me think......ok buy anything like a lot of kitchen appliances, new microwave, new fridge..stuff like that....how that will be :p:p:p

My roses are dead though but the gesture is what is nice. Money could have been an easy option for him and it would have been like any other day. I would have wasted my money and I would not feel special but when he gave me the roses it made me feel like he actually appreciated my job. Money is just a non-thoughtful way of saying thanks. I get my bonuses whenever we win a case and that is wonderful but it is even more great when a person shows you that you are not just an employee that you pay off but that you actually deserve some thoughtfulness and kind gestures.
