GoodDaze43 Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 I have been broken up 4 months with my ex girlfriend who I found out was cheating on me. She has not message/call me within the 4 months and I have not done the same. I was depressed for a bit and than I went on a month long trip, traveling country to country it felt amazing and I was a lot better after. I noticed now I'm much better but at times begin thinking too much about the past and find myself checking her Facebook out. I have talked to a few girls but don't feel ready for anything after my 18 month relationship. I'm 21 so I currently just plan to keep on working and hopefully more travel. How do you move on and how long did it take?

umirano Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 Takes more time than that. It's 14 months now and I'm in a new relationship but I'm not sure that I'm completely over her. Block her on Facebook, keep NC, refer to the NC guide if necessary. Keep busy with work and travel. I started dating about 3 months after BU. Good luck!

JuneJulySeptember Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 It's variable depending on person and situation. There's no timetable. It hasn't taken me long to get over any exes. But one woman who knew for a year and basically fell madly in love and got rejected by took around 3 years to truly get over. I don't think about her every day anymore, but I still avoid contact and looking at her pictures.
