mjkcal Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 Any eharmony users out there? One of the most useful features appears to be gone. Most of my matches in the past have been "active over a month ago" Obviously, if I saw this, I would know not to waste my time messaging them as they are a dead profile. Well, this has disappeared to my knowledge, or perhaps I'm just missing a new location for it? I e-mailed eharmony, and they won't get back with me. I'm guessing it's a shady tactic as so many profiles are dead. Thanks.
petsrule Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 I think it disappeared because my matches never say when they were last online. I've cancelled my eharmony account now because it seems to me that nobody is active there any more (I get matched with someone but when I contact them they rarely if ever contact me back)
Author mjkcal Posted June 19, 2015 Author Posted June 19, 2015 Same experience! You couldn't cancel in the middle though right? You had to wait till your membership expired? It's always such a damn pain to cancel! Any other site you moved onto that is giving you better luck? 1

It's always such a damn pain to cancel! Any other site you moved onto that is giving you better luck? I had to keep trying to cancel and even then they're nagging me to rejoin I don't think they've actually taken my profile down yet, waiting on them to get on with it. I haven't yet joined another site, although I will say avoid Match like the PLAGUE because I was on there a few years ago and I'm STILL getting spam emails from them
Capri Kiwi Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Yup so I stumbled upon this thread precisely because I just noticed there was no more "active within" info available for my matches. I'm pretty sure I saw this until a week or so ago. I found this feature useful for the same reasons others have described here....to weed out the dead profiles from the ghosters who just disappear without a word but are still active online. That way, I know who to not waste my energy on. Also, I had closed my eHarmony account for a year (ended my subscription, deleted my profile) when I was serious with someone, then recently signed up again because we broke up a few months ago. Lo and behold, my profile info was actually all still there, and automatically re-populated once I filled in my name and address and billing info. I shouldn't be surprised I guess, but it was still left a bad taste....I guess deleting/closing an eHarmony profile doesn't really mean jack.
