ashley85m Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 Hi! I am a 19 year old college student. My whole life I have been "chubby" I started exercising my senior year of high school and have lost about 15 pounds since. Im losing weight the safe and slow way. I run about 4-5 miles every day and I am still enjoying the foods I use to eat, just in moderation. Since I started working out I have noticed my calf muscles are growing every day!! I am not embarassed at the fact that they are so huge, I am just concerned because the rest of my body is in shape and slim, but my calf muscles are not porpotional to the rest of my body. I am wondering if there is anything I can do to reduce the size of my calves. I understand any type of exercise is going to make them bulky, but is there any cardio workouts that would not target my calf muscles as much as running/jogging does? Thanks!
Pocky Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 Are you in college? If so, you may want to speak to someone in the athletics department or possibly speak to a personal trainer if they have a gym on campus for advice. Anyone that works with exercise should be able to give you some insight.
