Boggywoggy Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 SO. I met this interesting character on Tinder about 3 days ago. Some brief conversation occurred, and she asked for my number to which I said yes. Anywho, she was about 50 miles away, and we have been talking for about 3 days. I asked for her Facebook, to which she replied that she did not have one, she did not have a snapchat either. Things were looking fishy. Long story short, I'm quite good at spotting catfishers, although this one was smart. First thing I did was reverse image search all of the pictures she had sent me. Interestingly enough, none of them were a hit. And I mean NONE. Now, this is both good and bad. Good obviously, because she didn't come up as some pornstar that lives halfway across the world. Bad, because there was no connection of her photos to any possible identity on the internet. My sense of her being fake was finally solidified when this night we were going to skype, and while we did, or I should say I did, she still continued only to text, while both my video and microphone were on. I asked why she was still only messaging me, to which she replied that both her microphone and camera were not working, on a MacBook. Very very strange. I had also attempted to call her, and she simply ignored the call. During the conversation this individual repeatedly attempted to ask me to stand up and show my body. At this point I knew it was time to cut it off. I'm a bit of a nerdy and techy person, and I'm genuinely curious as to how this person got the images that they had sent me that seemed to not exist anywhere else. Does anybody have an idea?
ascendotum Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 Why couldn't of the images just come from a friend's camera or phone that they have never loaded up to a social media site before. Even a snapshot of a person taken from a video can be considered new. There are probably 100s of millions of such photos. Also is it not possible to alter existing images a little bit so they are not considered a prior mage by an image search engine. There are also probably many secure member only sites that image search engines cannot trawl through as well.
minime13 Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 They could be a friend's picture? Or maybe even her's. Who knows? The better question is how is she on tinder without a facebook account? Don't you have to have a facebook account to use tinder? Search her username on facebook and you'll find her profile, most likely.
Author Boggywoggy Posted June 17, 2015 Author Posted June 17, 2015 It could have been a friends, but it doesn't explain some of the nude pictures she sent me that also did not appear on any searches. And Im guessing she did have some facebook, she just lied and said no.

Probably got them off of instagram or facebook--that's where my catfish got his. There are a number of romance scammer sites on the web that have huge lists of pictures used by catfish. You should also copy their profile and paste it into google and search the words--chances are, their profile will spit out at least 2 others with the same wording. Last week, I checked a guy's profile from OKC and it spit out 2 pages of profiles using the exact same wording. If they won't show their faces, they're catfish, plain and simple.
