Dressing up for an upscale restaurant is not sexed it up. A dressed pant instead of a jeans will be more appropriate for a white tablecloth restaurant.

I would not accept a dinner date for a first meet but she did, and he used the expression he's going to wine and dine her so I imagine he's not going to take her to grill place.

Me and the better half went to Claridges once in rather overpriced Skinny jeans. me in a Chelsea top and her in a Germany top.

No one batted an eyelid.

Ok it was Gordons day off maybe.

Cheers matey!

You get me!

The Ritz for Tea I would wear a dress but not sex it up.

A restaurant for a first date ...heck no! He needs to earn sexy!

One or no dates and he hasn't earned sexy yet by any means.

I don't understand the idea of 'earning sexy' unless you mean kinda super revealing dress, which is less sexy to me than looking well put together, hot but leaving some stuff to the imagination. In terms of looking attractive, I dress well for dinner whether I'm going with friends, family or a partner. I don't see me looking hot as something a guy has to earn, it makes me feel good for ME, nothing to do with how guys might see me. And by hot I don't mean four inch heels for work, hot pink lipstick to go to the supermarket... just, I take care picking out my outfit to find what looks and fits best, wear makeup, blow dry and manicure... I do those things whether I'm single or in a relationship of several years!

Do you mean that you generally wear down to earth stuff so putting extra effort into your appearance is a big deal and therefore you want to go for a date looking how you would normally look? I'm just curious!
