linnndaaa Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 I had my first date with this guy a few days earlier and it was a great night. He seems to be a very nice and kind guy. I got his number and we chat with each other almost everyday (usually I am the one who start the conversation)... I really want to have a dinner with him again , but I don't dare to ask him out because he may reject my invitation... But anyway... should I ask for a dinner FIRST ? I don't want things to be awkward after that..
Gary S Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Usually the guy will ask when he likes you. Why risk rejection if they will do it anyway?

I don't want things to be awkward after that.. Did you thank him for the first date and tell him how much you enjoyed it and would like to do it again? If you did, you leave the ball in his court. If you didn't, next time you two are talking, you could simply make some kind of general statement about what's going on in your upcoming week. Like, next week is going to be a easy one for me . . . nothing going on for the next few nights. I've been so overwhelmed lately I need a break. And see if he picks up on it.
Redhead14 Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 ^^^most guys don't get hints Yeah, it's true sometimes and sometimes they do if you've done everything else right and they are looking for another opportunity. He may be doing the same thing she's doing, "should I ask for another date", I don't want to get rejected". If she opens the door and he see light and wants to come in, he will.
adamastor Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Why not asking him out on a second date if you wish to? See the fact that girls always wait for the guy to initiate everything may make them question their interest. This forum and others are full of people saying "if the girl doesn't make a move it's probably because she's not interested". At the beginning people try to mind read each other like in a chess game. Don't risk jeopardizing a potential relationship.
smackie9 Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 If he rejects you then you just found out you are wasting time.....wouldn't that be better to find out now, instead of waiting by the phone hoping? 2
jen1447 Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 It's 2015, women ask men out on dates all the time.
