I have never known a man who shaved anything except his face.

However, I used to go to a gym and the really serious body-building guys used to go for all over body waxing when they were entering competitions.......ouch !

My husband shaves his whole upper body -- chest hair, arms etc. I prefer him with a hairy chest but it's his body. In the winter sometimes I can convince him to keep the hair so I can play but in the summer he shaves.

Shaving isn't a requirement of mine, but I have been with a man who shaved his, um, "boys".

That made things fun.

I trim in the summer months, because I sweat a lot when it's hot and I sweat a lot less if I trim so its to be more comfortable!

I don't shave, but I do keep myself trimmed. I don't like the scraggly bush look, on myself, or on women!

I used to trim my chest hair but my GF doesn't like when I do, so I don't. But, it does mean I have to keep my shirts buttoned up more because I don't like when it's long enough to start sticking out!

I keep things tidy but the only thing I shave is part of my face and my head, the one between my ears not between my legs :p

Many body builders shave as part of their sport.

Lots of men shave everything.

I think hair on a man's chest/arms is sexy as long as it's not all gorilla-like.

Hair on the back and shoulders is disgusting on a man. Some men have wild hair on their legs which looks really funny when they wear shorts.

Shaving the pubes makes things prickly down there. Trimming is fine but outright shaving is no good. ;)

I remove hair from:

Head, face (stubble is grown out), entire torso, pubes.

Arms don't need it and have just the right amount of hair. Legs... wouldn't think of it. Just like arms.

Agreed....

And no creepy nose/ear hair

Is it normal for a guy not to shave underarms? I'd prefer a guy trim or shave that...

I notice a number young guys in my gym have hairless legs but I'm not on really chummy terms with them to ask, but I thought it was a bit weird. If the guys competed I'd totally get it, but these guys train as body builders but if you saw them in the street you would just say that had athletic build and were not BBs.

Yeah I notice the nose hair thing haha. I'll be sitting beside a coworker and I'll turn to my left and from his side profile I'll see this long hair coming out of his nose. Part of me wants to pull it out. Eww.:D

Yep. Lots and lots of men shave their legs, arms, ass, chest (you name it) and it doesn't always have to do with improving their workout or sport performances.

It's very rare for a grown man to have smooth hairless legs naturally unless they are one of those races who have little hair.

Tip for guys: If you shave sensitive areas like your legs or pubic regions use a set of clippers on zero guard (carefully so you don't knick yourself) instead of a standard razor blade. You'll avoid the unsightly razor burn rash and ingrown hairs.

The other day there was a woman I was talking to that had a long nose hair coming out, a little bit like a spider about to play "peek-a-boo"...kind of sucked for her because the way the sun and daylight was that day, it was lit perfectly upon it, in which in any other situation it might have been easily overlooked...but she gets a free pass, she's sexy and attractive still.

Unfortunately nose hair is quite unflattering and needs to be checked, also the ear hair...I think those are necessities for men IMO.

I also think men should avoid growing Osama bin ladens in their pants...I can't let the wild growth go untamed down there for me personally, I'll either shave it all off or very short...sometimes I'll let it get longer than usual but I don't like the look...it's almost as bad as having an uncircumsized penis, I could imagine having a shrimp laid upon a bed of dark haired salad...or it would look like a carrot.

As far as legs and forearms, the funny thing is those are the hairiest part of my body...thanks to the hairiness on my moms side of the family men wise, but at least I got the hairless native american gene from my dads side which gives me no chest hair and no back hair...also very little facial growth to tend with, like in the neck area, I don't have to work as hard as other men to maintain my face.

I don't think it's fair to men to have to contend with back and shoulder hair, however I don't think it's fair that women have to deal with that lip hair either...a little moustache, even if they clear the hair there still might be a darkened area around their mouths or above their lip, at least you get make-up to cover that up.

I think body hair is generally an unflattering thing, unless it's on your head or your face (for men) I personally think it's generally ugly, even though I have to contend with my own as a man.

Seconding this! I do my face most of the time, I do my chest & back, and I trim downstairs.

Never touch my arms or legs. I actually have a fair bit of arm/leg hair but I'm blonde so its not so noticeable!
