Does your work schedule challenge dating?

I know some people that work odd shifts or different schedules than that of most people.

One works a graveyard shift as a mail sorter from like 7 pm to 7 am Mon Night through Sat. morning. Another that I went on a first date with had her weekends on Mon. and Tues.

Both of which mentioned it was hard for them to date for that reason.

Anyone here have this issue? Is your scheduled keeping you from dating?

My schedule varies from week to week so planning was always required.

My parents both worked shift work so they had to really tinker with their schedules to be able to see each other.

Been out of town for work for a long time now so it's majorly affecting me. :(

My boyfriend has a pretty challenging work schedule, and he works until midnight most evenings, including fri and sat, then has his kids on his days off. This wouldn't be so bad except that I go into work at 7, and have weekends off. Not much overlap. I think people who work 9-5 jobs get used to having evenings free. That's when you have most of your social/family time.

Are you free this evening, CD? ;)

I had a date this morning with a girl working at hospital. Her schedule could be a problem. I like her, I will try but It will be a challenge !

By the time he showed up last night, I was dead to the world. This morning he was grumpy, apparently because the cat was bugging him, but I imagine it had at least as much to do with me conking out and not really waking up when he got in.

He usually comes over Saturday night, too, and when I asked if I'd see him then he basically said "what's the point, since you'll be asleep anyway." I tried to explain that I was just plain exhausted yesterday and I should be totally refreshed by Sat, but it didn't seem to make a difference. :p
