Lobouspo Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 So I met this woman online first part of last month and we end up sleeping together. Anyway she wants to continue seeing me, but I make it clear I don't really see any long term potential. Normally I don't do this type of thing (unprotected sex on 1st date) , but it happened. I can't turn back the clock. Texts me yesterday saying she's pregnant. She then says she is going to doctors next week for a blood test. I offer to accompany her. Within 5 minutes her story changes and says she is getting test now and will have results within an hour. I offer to drive down to be with her when she gets results. She declines and said she will let me know. Haven't heard back from her. Tonight I do a little investigating and find out she is ACTUALLY 51 years old! Not 41 like she has claimed. How should I proceed from here on out?
bmh Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Ultimatum... Tell her YOU will take her to the dr and find out the proof you need or you walk and block her crazy ass if she refuses. You don't really know this woman you aren't obligated to take her word for it. Then when she confesses she's not pregnant which I have a feeling she will I suggest once again block her crazy ass and move on to the next. Some women just make us all look bad. 2
JADIE Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 How likely at 51 is pregnancy anyway? Pretty darn slim. I wouldn't believe her for a minute. 1
ascendotum Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 How likely at 51 is pregnancy anyway? Its possible but not exactly highly likely on a one **** with a woman that age I would have thought. Luckily I have not had this sort of call back from a ons/fling. I've known a few guys that have had this sort of thing happen to them, and what the women have wanted is $ for the abortion. There are some women who will scam gullibale and desperate for the problem to 'go away' guys. It may be a set up for that, and the way things changed when you tried to get involved makes me suspicious. Hopefully its just a false alert.
Toodaloo Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Get yourself tested for STD's and remember... no glove = no love!
Fleur de cactus Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 A 51 years old woman can get pregnant, a woman can get pregnant after only one time sex. But in this case, it may be a set up. Maybe she is pregnant from someone else and needs a father of the kid. Tell her that you cannot do anything until DNA proves it is yours, and see her reaction.
elaine567 Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Oldest example of a birth due to natural conception in the modern day, I see. Anna Martin, of Broken Arrow, near Tulsa, Oklahoma, already mother of six children, the eldest, Louis, was then 25, gave birth by Caesarean section to a daughter, Mary-Jane, on November 24, 1972, at the age of 57 years and 4 months. She already had her previous children, a daughter, in summer 1967, at the age of 52, then a son, Donnie-Ray, in summer 1970, at the age of 55. At 51, unusual but not impossible. If she hasn't gone through the menopause or is on HRT, then yes definitely possible. Going bareback and first date sex - what on earth were you thinking???... Many current older adults may have missed the boat when it came to safe sex education. Safe sex and STD prevention education became prevalent in the 1980s when HIV/AIDS was discovered. During that time period, many current older adults were married and middle aged and missed the education that was then directed to youth. The times are truly different for older adults. Women are postmenopausal, so they do not worry about getting pregnant. Women also outnumber men, so the women are more eager to please their partners. That said, men of this generation typically call the shots; for example, men do not prefer wearing condoms. - See more at: STDs in Older Adults
lollipopspot Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 How should I proceed from here on out? It seems very unlikely she's pregnant, particularly given the strange story and that you were mislead about her age by a decade (how did she pull that off?). From here on out you should stop having first date sex, and use protection. NEVER trust a stranger with your future. 1
PogoStick Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 At 51, unusual but not impossible. That is still a huge overstatement. Fertility typically starts dropping by age 35, and is gone for most women by early 40s. Then if such a woman does conceive, her chance of successfully carrying to term is still very poor. I would have no fear of pregnancy from a 45+ woman.

Gaeta Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 I know many women of my mother's generation who got pregnant at 50 sometimes older. I, myself, at 49 was told by my gyno after a pelvic scan that I am still fully fertile and to not trust only condoms as a contraceptive because I may get an unwanted surprise and she sees women my age getting pregnant each week.

How should I proceed from here on out? I find it extremely unlikely that a 51 year old woman would have unprotected sex if she felt there was a slightest chance of pregnancy and especially if she's already had several children. She's playing on you to try to draw you closer to her in having a "share a scare" bonding experience and garner attention. Something like Munchausen's to get attention. I know it sounds crazy, but . . . coupled with the fact that she lied about her age, I say she's some kind of delusional woman. Or, she may actually be pregnant and behaving like a teenager trying to trap a man into marrying her. A 51 year old single woman who "allows" herself to get pregnant, has a screw loose. If she tells you she's pregnant, you demand to see the results and get the doctor's name. You hire an attorney and demand a DNA test.

How should I proceed from here on out? If she's 51, it's highly unlikely she's pregnant. It certainly isn't as common as some in this thread would lead you to believe. Even the CDC doesn't measure pregnancy and birth rates over the age of 44 as a measurable statistic in their pregnancy and birth rate by date range. Products - Data Briefs - Number 136 - December 2013 Other studies on pregnancy and birth rate over 50 show that, while possible, it is far more likely in non-natural methods, such as hormone treatment or IVF. Pregnancy over age 50 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia I doubt a real pregnancy has occurred, especially since you have caught her in at least 1 lie. She's probably betting on trying to salvage something she feels you guys have. In a few months, if this actually worked, she'd probably have a 'miscarriage.' How did you find out she was 51? If you have solid proof of that, Call her out on it. Then tell her you will either be present for the test, or you want her to stop contacting you.

She looks good for her age and admitted to having some cosmetic surgery, but even with that, when we met I thought she looked a little older than 41. With Spokeo , People Finders and other online tools you can find out a lot about folks with limited information. She does not have a common name and I cross referenced some of her info to a public court database where she had been involved in a couple of civil cases. I have no doubt that she lied to me about her age
johndoe2 Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 The fact that she's 51 and is changing her story around to avoid proving to you that she's actually pregnant indicate she most likely is not pregnant. What's more interesting is why she is doing this. Perhaps a mid-life crisis and she's so desperate that she's trying to coerce you into a relationship? Or maybe Munchausen's syndrome. You could, for the sake of curiosity (or to be extra sure that you are not in fact screwed) continue to play along and see what excuses she comes up with next (good news is she won't want you to see her, because then you'll clearly see she isn't pregnant). My guess is she will eventually have a conveniently-timed 'miscarriage' and will then try to use that to perhaps guilt you into continuing to see her, or something like that. In any case, be wary. 1
