if your bf texts you half an hr before to tell you that he'll be late for 2 hours. Can i be pissed and call him out? (this is one of my biggest pet peeves, and he knows it).

Depending of the reason of being late, i know friends who do the same thing to me and i understand. Some people have a busy schedule even if they plan an outing unexpected plan comes up and there is nothing they can do about it. Expecially if it is about work or other important matter. I happens sometimes.

It would depend on the reason for being late and how often it happens..

 

If he is in a profession where his work is unpredictable - ER medic, fire service, priest etc - then you might want to think if you can live with this lifestyle of his. Maybe you should date a school teacher or a shopkeeper?

 

If he is just disorganised and chronically late, then again you might want to question whether or not you want to date someone who is telling you quite bluntly that he considers his time more important than yours? That's just plain disrepectful.

 

Only you can decide what to do, as you haven't given enough information here to get a full answer IMO.
