1q3455402828193 Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 So, I have been speaking to this guy for 2.5 weeks. I met him on Ok Cupid and we exchanged contact information within 2 days of messaging online. I will be moving to Charlotte on Monday for a summer internship. He lives in Charlotte as well and he wanted to throw an housewarming celebration for me, in efforts for us to spend time together. I thought that was very sweet. Today, i messaged him about how im excited i am to finally see him in person and he told me that he is a little nervous. I'm a little nervous as well, but that's because I am shy. What would spark a guy to be nervous about meeting up with a female? Also, for those who are skeptical of online dating.....I have sent him photos of how i look, face and body. He even replies with the emoji face with the heart eyes every time. lol.
fitnessfan365 Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 This actually happens a lot with OLD. Two people email and text way too much getting invested in someone's written personality. Then the actual person is nothing like that persona you've been "getting to know". So there is no chemistry and it falls flat. That is probably where the nerves are coming from. Both of you have no idea if the actual person will match up. If I meet a woman online, my goal is to get her number and on the phone talking to me on the first day. If I like the phone call, I make plans to meet ASAP. Then I try to keep communication as minimal as possible before the date. Why? I don't develop any expectations and I can get to know the real person in the moment. There is no pressure that's been built up. 1
smackie9 Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 Tip: meet him for the first time in a very public place. Women are at risk when first meeting up with strangers. I don't care that he seems like a nice guy.....you can't be too cautious.
