LoveMachine67 Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 A question for you ladies who may have profiles on Match... When you setup your profile for the first time, and did not specify "race or ethnicity" of your potential matches, does that mean you are open to meet and date men of other races? Or is it possible selecting your racial preferences was overlooked when creating your profile initially? I am asking this because my profile is set to match women of only one specific race, open to dating men of my race. Yet when I view my matching profiles, it says "No Preference" on the race question. This brings me to my last question, would ladies be offended if contacted by a man of a different race, if you overlooked selecting a racial preference in your own profile?
dyna85 Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 No preference means open to all races/ethnicities. This is why they are showing up as potential matches - they didn't overlook setting a preference, they just don't have a specific preference and are open to any variety. 2

This is what I was hoping to be the case.
petsrule Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 When I was on match, I had my profile as no preference because I personally don't find race to be an issue. Basically if you've got it set as no preference it means anyone can contact you. 1
Gaeta Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 This brings me to my last question, would ladies be offended if contacted by a man of a different race, if you overlooked selecting a racial preference in your own profile? Why would we be offended? It's online, you cannot be offended at everything little thing. If someone we are not interested in sends us a message we just ignore it. We also put in our profile we only want a long term relationship but that doesn't keep players from contacting us every single day so there's not getting offended otherwise we would be offended 24 hrs a day. 3

dyna85 Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Thank you Dyna! This is what I was hoping to be the case. Yep. Mine is always set to 'no preference' in that area because I'm open to all ethnicities/races. 1
