Author dgiirl Posted May 12, 2005 Author Posted May 12, 2005 When my ex first left, I litterally couldnt sleep for days. My brother recommended nyquil. I took it the first week, but stopped because I really didnt want to get use to it. I would try to cope without any meds. If you really find yourself not able to get past, then see a doctor.

Nyquil if used when you're actually not sick can make you restless and hallucinate. If you're into that, go for it, but otherwise, something less powerful would do the trick. Like tylenol PM.
greenhorn Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 I am bit confused here, there are two things then, when you are fresh dumped then you don't get sleep, don't feel eating or working, you just lie on bed and cry and don't come out of your room. The other is what I said, you get to hear about your ex or see her with someone else, then it happens and lasts for something like 15 minutes and then ok. So which is the anxiety one ?
Author dgiirl Posted May 12, 2005 Author Posted May 12, 2005 If you're heart is beating like crazy because you feel like you're being chased, it's anxiety. If you're just sad, and you feel like a knife is in your heart, it's a dull pain in the middle of your chest, it's heart broken. Atleast i think

Three of Swords Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 I get periods of where I feel I can't breath right - though physically there is nothing wrong with my actual breathing. I feel mildly panicked. Like I just have to get outta there - which is impossible at work. If I can sneak away to the washroom for about 15 minutes, I try to have a good cry - which isn't too difficult for me cause I am sure I am also mildly depressed as well. It does seem to help - I guess it's a release. It is a shame that heartbreak doesn't show actual physical signs, cause then people would have some sympathy for you and perhaps even try to help you out in some way without you actually asking for help (I have a hard time asking). I feel like I AM walking wounded and that people think I should just suck it up. But yeah - work and more work to distract me, long long walks (2 hours last night) and LS.
greenhorn Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 So now I feel that depression will goes in something like couple of months, but this anxiety remains until specially treated.
