Jmal1994 Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Hi guys, here's my story briefly, my ex girlfriend broke up with me in February, we were together over 2.5 years, we are both 20 years old, we were each others first loves, first everything. She started college last year, but was still close by, but I think she was jealous of her single friends, also got closer to some male friends, and dumped me out of the blue! (out of the blue because we were booking a holiday for the summer the night before) Since then, she admitted that she had feelings for another guy and has kissed him, pretty much become inseparable...or so I thought. The other day, I was hanging out with a mutual friend, and he told me, from what he had heard, that they were no longer together, because my ex girlfriend wasn't interested in him. BUT I must add that they are still good friends, my ex and this 'crush' and are going away as part of a group on My ex and I have been on low contact since the breakup, the longest we have gone without 'checking in' on eachother was two weeks, but recently, she had become a greater deal more involved in texting me. I initally made all the big mistakes of saying how much I loved her after the breakup, and she rejected me two months ago, when I believe she was seeing this guy! Since our breakup, she apparently has been posting all sorts of things on social media, about staying up late overthinking, whilst posting messages about moving on and having to let go of someone, essentially motivational posts to help her The confusing part came two days ago on my 21st birthday, coincidentally, I was talking to my brother walking back from the store, saying that my ex hadn't messaged me, when ten seconds later, she pulls up behind me. She wasn't ready for that, she was going to drop my card off and leave. We chatted for a bit, I hadn't seen in her in ages, and wasn't expecting to, so we were both overwhelmed. She got incredibly upset and started crying, I said that I missed her, and she cried even more and said she missed me, she hugged me for ages and didn't want to let go, but she had work, so we went our separate ways. I read my card, and she gave me the most beautiful message, saying how much I had accomplished this year, she put love from and many kisses in the card also, I thanked her for her kind gesture, and she apologised for getting upset, saying it was difficult for her to see me because she just cries all the time, she told me to enjoy myself that evening (partying) and not to hold back. All im asking guys is, what do I do now? Do I talk to her or just let it be? I would consider reconciliation, because I love this girl very much, my heart skipped a best when I saw her, it was like the first day I met her. All I'm asking for guys is your two cents on the topic
TaraMaiden2 Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Call her, and ask to go out for coffee. If she says yes, then discuss a reconciliation, but go to counselling together to make things work better. if she hesitates or declines, cut off all contact, move on and live your life. She can't fence-sit.
Dork Vader Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 I suppose you could date her again. I think you should focus more on friendship with her if possible. You two have a ton of maturing too do still.
Author Jmal1994 Posted May 25, 2015 Author Posted May 25, 2015 This is the thing, she is a stubborn girl, in the sense that something will happen, and she will say 'it's happened, there's nothing we can do now', I feel that she is being the same here, but there feels like there is something more I don't know how to approach the situation of asking her out for coffee, she told me that she finds it incredibly hard to see me, and that she just starts crying, so I feel it would be difficult to do such a thing My heart tells me I should go for it, ask her, tell her that i still love her, she knows I miss her, and I know she misses me, but that's different to love isn't it? At the end of the day, it seems like she's too scared or against the idea, because she knew how much she hurt me when she left me
