Dixon Posted April 25, 2005 Posted April 25, 2005 Hello all, I haven't posted much, but read daily.. What's some dates you've been on, or took a girl out on? Something better then the ordinary movies etc.. Something good, and something for you girls that you liked, and something unordinary, something that will stick in her mind.. Justin
jen4 Posted April 25, 2005 Posted April 25, 2005 I'm not one that needs to be taken to fancy places. I do however enjoy it when the guy takes time to plan a date. Dinner, nothing fancy, maybe play pool,or take a walk downtown, beach, etc. Going to a bar can be ok if you both drink. Not a movie, cause it's somewhere you can't have a conversation. I had a blind date last night and all we did was stay at his house and bbq'd and rented a movie. Not good! LOL JEN
Skullcrusher Posted April 25, 2005 Posted April 25, 2005 Whatever you feel like Justin. To Jen: What DID *YOU* do? Did you plan the date? NO. Did you think of bbqing food? NO. Did you clean up your place and invite someone you liked over? NO. Get off your cell phone and bring the man a 6-pack of beer the next time you are asked out.
jen4 Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 ummm,no I didn't plan the date. I was asked out and that is what he could/wanted to do. He's made it clear he was pretty broke. The first date is usually planned by the one doing the asking, with my experience anyway. thanks for the input, I sure as hell won't be bringing anyone a 6 pk. JEN
quankanne Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 best dates -- for me -- have been those that combined a learning experience. an XBF took me camping for a week near Ruidoso, NM, and it was wonderful ... I also used to love going to flea markets, trades days and pick and pulls with him because of all the neat stuff out there. DH will do the trades day thing, and when we go visit his family in 'bama, we go check out the places he used to run around -- fishing holes, waterfalls, state parks -- and poked around a covered bridge and the river under it. We've also driven out to the Grand Canyon to do the tourist thing, did the dam tour at Hoover Dam, walked around LV to see what was out there, all before we got married. Still waiting to visit the historic cemeteries in our area, as well as the other historic sites! a good date doesn't have to be expensive or planned to the Nth degree, just mutually pleasurable and interesting for both parties.
alphamale Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 go-kart racing and then minature golf afterwards.
Jtizzle Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 A neat and unusual day would be spendin the day goin to arts and craft stores gettin supplies for a scrapbook.. i did that for my bf for his bday, and he was taken away...the scrapbook idea is to keep the memories of the date and more dates to come. or takin a dance class together, latin is good for gettin in sum feelies ...goin to tha park and playin frisbee..or get a remote controlled boat and sum rods and go to the lake and sail boats and fish and have a picnic...
