locabs Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 A guy I have been talking to has yet to take me out to dinner. He has taken me out such as the beach at night, bars, and a concert but never dinner. Do you think thats a big deal? Some friends think it's weird that he hasn't, and other say that it's not that big of a deal.

How many posts have we seen about things to do on a date that are different and not boring. Going to concerts and the beach would be a refreshing change from going to the same old places we can go just about anytime with anyone. Give the guy a break. He's communicating consistently and asking you for dates, right? What else do you want? I don't know how old you are, but the beach at night probably doesn't cost a lot, but it's nice. Does he have a job? Is he limited on funds? I'm thinking he spent money on those concert tickets. Your friends are questioning him for not spending enough money on you it sounds like. Either they are gold diggers or high maintenance.

I prefer going to pubs to eat and so does my boyfriend. We like to people watch or watch sports together and it's just a nicer atmosphere (in my opinion) then going out to a restaurant. I'm also very casual so I try to avoid dressing up as much as possible . Unless we're craving something specific, we rarely go to a restaurant. However, if it's something you'd like to do on occasion, why don't you take him out for dinner? Nothing wrong with that either.
