Thegreatestthing Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Met a guy on okcupid, really cute and interesting. He only texts me once a day though ,this text is always five paragraphs long so like an email but once a day then I never hear from him again.if I reply I still don't hear from him till the next day.admittingly I take hours and hours to reply because I'm on a different time zone but today I explained that and replied within three hours and nothing from him.he also deleted his profile which means he either likes me or he gave up and is just talking to me when he feels like it,one text a day,is it normal????
SunnySide0418 Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Different time zones? What's the point in that? Will you ever get to meet? Are you looking for a long distance relationship? Considering you've never even met I think one text a day is nice. How long have you been in contact? I just don't get the long distance thing..
Author Thegreatestthing Posted May 21, 2015 Author Posted May 21, 2015 I'm overseas for one more week, them well be in the same timezone
minime13 Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 I'm overseas for one more week, them well be in the same timezone If you are overseas, is it for vacation? Business travel? Other? Maybe he's just trying to be respectful, depending on why you're out of the country, and is being cognizant of the time difference? Why don't you just ask him?
spiritofjosh Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Hmmm I may be somewhat of a different kind of person but I know that when I'm interested in someone I don't really do the texting first. I sort of have that mentality to make it proven to myself that they're interested based on how much THEY text me. It's a bad habit I have I know but it's there. For example I actually started hanging out with an ex I dated two years ago and I never text her first because I need convince myself what she wants before I go overboard talking her ear off. Maybe he is the same way? Just a thought. 1
organizedchaos Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 I'm overseas for one more week, them well be in the same timezone Wait until you're in the same time zones and see.

C'mon. You're stressing over a guy you haven't met in person yet? And, there are circumstances surrounding the ability to communicate anyway? 1
d0nnivain Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 5 paragraphs is a ridiculous amount of text. I agree with those who advise to see what happens when you are back in the same time zone. Electronics don't mean as much as in person.
Author Thegreatestthing Posted May 22, 2015 Author Posted May 22, 2015 I'm visiting family, well he asked if we can go see the Vikings exhibit when I get back which to me is THE perfect date, but still no conversation during the day,is this an American thing? he replied at 3pm my time, 1am his time(don't know why he didn't reply earlier) today ,I immediately replied, he replied back immediately I tried to get a conversation going( but no reply) which makes me lose all interest, even though clearly he asked me on this date. If you are overseas, is it for vacation? Business travel? Other? Maybe he's just trying to be respectful, depending on why you're out of the country, and is being cognizant of the time difference? KatZee Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 No this isn't an American thing. When a guy wants to talk to you he will. Stop analyzing. You haven't met him. You're projecting some weird scenario about who you think he is, on to him. For all you know he's a massive player, maybe is in a relationship, living a double life. Who knows. Only responding to you in the early AM? Weird. 3
