I have the same thing. Especially if I'm going down on a girl.

I get involved in what I'm doing as a type A perfectionist and lose my boner completely.

Next thing I know the chick wants to have sex and I've lost all interest because I'm busy working on her.

Have definitely had this happen a lot in life.

Same here too, even though I really get into getting her off during foreplay, I usually loose my erection in the process. On several occasions I just could not get it up again and was accused of not finding them attractive blah blah blah.

I've also found that if I start sex worried about getting it up or maintaining, I'm doomed for that session. :( Had a woman bite me on the chest once breaking my skin, in frustration because I lost my erection.

Luckily, it's just an occasional thing. But I've often wondered what women really think when this happens to men.

I don't have those issues anymore, but I did at the beginning of relationships my whole life until recently...

I can tell you with near certainty that it's less about it happening, and more about how you react to it. If things aren't going to happen then be positive about it. It usually fixes the problem over time anyways. The brain is a mad chemist that controls everything. If your brain learns faulty patterns the only way to change it is to change your way of thinking.

Well, it's curious to me that you would allege a "disconnect" but find the porn/ED association implausible.
