How is the easiest way to go NC with children in the mix?

That's where you really have to be strict with yourself about setting inner boundaries.

 

So, you only have contact about the kids and only when absolutely necessary. You don't ever cross the line of emotionality. You're friendly, polite, pleasant, you've got your game face on -- so much better for yourself and your kids this way!

 

But yeah -- it's a hard situation, but you can do it if you stick to your guns and refuse to indulge yourself emotionally.

How is the easiest way to go NC with children in the mix?

I am having the same problem. He comes and picks up the kids and is calling me babe, tries to give me a kiss hello. He has texted me how much he misses me. How much he wants his family back together...... I don't answer. I have told him I will only answer his text messages when they are about the children. What time his he picking them up and dropping them off. There is NO US!!! There is no other reason for texting unless it is for the interest of the children. I stick to this rule.... He tries his hardest to break me down but I have learned from my mistakes and DON'T ANSWER. Good Luck!!!

No Contact is not a luxury you get when children are involved. At best you can limit yourself to discussion about the kids' welfare but you can't go NC.

Ok thanks for the info. I know that full NC would be impossible, but if you read my other post, I need to break away. I will work to keep my emotions in check.

Just take part in the minimum necessary communication on the one topic only: the children.
