Mirages
Since it is often stated that "Hey ----" is a lousy opener because it is too common, let us share ideas on the first few words of the first email with OLD contacts to spark an interest. I am confident in throwing together the next ~4 sentences, and communicating generally; it is just the intro that leaves me dry. Add to it, that their receiving end email will often use those few words. One approach is to use their name, screen name, etc. Still doesn't convince me. Another thought is an immediate question; not for me, my life is strategic and orderly, throwing out a question is a bit different for me. Any of the wizards here want to glean experience? Thanks.
