Found out she was talking to the guy before she broke up with me.

Hey guys, so my girlfreind broke up with me three weeks ago and she told me that a week after she broke up with me she met a guy and I think that now they're dating. She wants to be my friend but i told her i didn't want to see her for a couple of months but that I would still talk to her on occasion on the phone. Well we have a joint phone account and the bill came in today and I found out that she had been talking to that guy 4 days before she broke up with me. As of now I'm disgusted, why did she lie, what do you guys think I should do?

She likely lied because she didn't want to hurt your feelings, or she didn't want the conflict that would ensue with saying "I don't want to date you anymore but I'm interested in someone else".

 

In any case, since you are no longer romantically involved, what she does with her private time should not take up any more mental energy. I suggest cancelling the joint phone account and initiating no contact.

I would cancel it but i would have to pay 300 bucks to cancel it cuz of the contract. the reason why I care is cuz I told her that after i had gotten over her I would be ready to be her friend but now that I know that she lied about that i wouldn't want to be her friend and I feel like and As* cuz I still want her back.
