So they called me to talk about a possible job offer. I emailed back and thanked for calling and said I am interested and asked lot of questions. They wrote back please give us some time, about a week, till we know more about the position and can answer your questions.

Do I answer back to this email too? Like thanks, I give you time LOL, or what? What do I say?

If you wish, you can always write back and say something like, "Thanks. I look forward to learning more about the position." Then leave it at that until you hear from them again.

YOu could say you'll look out for their response in the coming week and if a week goes by, follow up with a reminder email.

Is it very impolite if i don't answer at all?

Probably not, but it wouldn't hurt (especially if you like the job in question).

Now I have to wait . :(

Well, I hope you didn't ask TOO many questions. Maybe when they called, instead of emailing back, you should have spoken to them and seen if they were going to offer you the job. I'm sure others applied too and if you asked more questions than even they knew about the position, they could've just thought "next applicant"...

Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D It's going to be a drag waiting, but maybe they'll get back to you sooner.

Thank you!

When we talked on the phone he mentioned about getting back to me in a week, and asked me if I have any questions about their institution. I was very excited and not prepared so I told him that I have some questions but I am not ready to ask now as the call was a surprise, that I will ask when they call me back next week. I asked 3 questions in my email, but very general ones, hard to answer. He also asked me to email if I have any questions.

Well whatever happens is the best! Just hate waiting.
