She constantly texts him. She isn't very bright. Not stable at all. He gives her money to pay bills she can't pay. Although she lives with her parents (for the past 6 years is what I heard) with her 2 kids while making a good salary and gets child support. She lost a job but found another that she might loose again. She is a hoarder. She isn't attractive (overweight and doesn't have a pretty face) I know looks aren't everything but you have to have a personality to back it up. Her kids are completely spoiled and all she does is yell at them. So he is going to move to be with her. Far from friends and family and will have to commute about 2 hours both ways to work each day. He already has 2 grown kids. Why would he take on this burden? We all almost want to have an intervention with him. He dated a very stable independent woman in the past. Now this sudden change all for this clingy woman (who has a high degree I might add but no common sense). Who can't take care of herself and has no concept of money or how to raise kids. My friend said, maybe if she was smart, had a pretty face and/or nice body he could understand the attraction. I know he tells people she is very kinky. So maybe that's it? Or he just likes to feel needed?

If you have already voiced your concerns in a practical and non aggressive manner then leave him to it.

Fat, broke, ugly women can also be attractive.

Perhaps she gives him something the others didn't that is worth more than money to him?

It's his decision not yours. He may be profoundly lonely & she looks like instant family to him.

Talk to him. Ask him what he likes about her. Ask him what he sees this marriage being about. Do not say negative things about her. Just listen. Ask if they are doing a pre-nup. Ask if they are getting pre-marital counseling. in these subtle ways plant some seeds of doubt but don't come right out & say anything like you disapprove.

This is from YOUR point of view. To him, she might be a goddess or he is still infatuated. Sometimes we must fall on our own swords to open our eyes to our mistakes. You can only be there with open arms when sh*t hits the fan and he needs it. Until then, carry on.
