frs1627 Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 So me and my ex broke up 2 weeks ago. We were together for 2.5 years. She cheated on me. I tried to forgive her but I couldn't. It was 4 months of a bad relationship. I fell out of love and just could not see her the same. The minute she told me what she did I wanted to break up then and there but I also wanted to fix things so I stayed for the next 4 months. So now that we been broken up for 2 weeks...I met this girl at my job. Well, she has been around but we never really communicated, always busy. I'm a registered nurse so I'm kind of surrounded by many girls. This one is different. I can approach her without a problem, she has a fun personality, very pleasant and beautiful. She pretty much has everything I ever wanted in a girl. We are supposed to hang out Tomorrow at a night club of some sort. It seems like she may be interested. I don't want to rush things with her, I want to take my time. I want to avoid the rebound phase. I have no feelings anymore for my ex, they have been gone. I'm not even angry at her anymore becuase there's no point in wasting that energy. I have doing NC with her even though she reaches out to me and I have no desire to respond back to her or contact her. I saw some guy trying to hit up my ex on fb and I did not care at all. I have been working on myself by doing the things I always wanted to do. I'm happy with the way my life is right now without my ex. So my question is. When is a rebound a rebound relationship?
minime13 Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 A rebound relationship is a relationship that you get into before you are over your ex. In my experience, it takes a lot longer than 2 weeks to get over a 2 and a half year relationship. If you like this girl, and you hit it off, just talk to her about it. Explain your situation and explain that you would want to take it slow if you two have a mutual interest in each other. She'll either be cool with it, or she won't be. If you get into any kind of relationship with this new girl right now, after 2 weeks, I'd have to say it is probably a rebound.
Price2Play Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Just get out and have some fun man & stop thinking about "relationships" so damn fast, especially if she's a co-worker. Slow the hell down man enjoy your freedom & forget about labels too. Side note: My ex wf is with her rebound 3-4yrs later? Ha I think she might have even married him, idk. 2
