GregJ1980 Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Had a great first date with a girl last Monday night. Thinking there might be a connection. We both laughed, had a lot in common, and we both had a blast! She texted me about an hour after the date that she had a lot of fun with me. I texted her the following day at work, just an icebreaker like "last night was fun, hope your day is going well!" She never responded. Wednesday went by and didn't hear from her and I didn't text her. Then, on Thursday night, I called her and she didn't answer. I sent her a text like "hey, give me shout when you can". She texted me about 20 minutes later "Sorry, it's been a crazy busy week, very stresful! Let's catch up this weekend!" I responded, "Sounds good". What did this text mean? I assumed she would probably call me back or text me over the weekend. She never did. I never texted her b/c I didn't want to sound desperate and put the ball in her court. I think I might like this girl and the chemistry was really good. Is she interested? Should I text her one more time or call her and invite her to do something? Is the playing hard to get or just playing games? Or, is she subtly blowing me off? So confused and frustrated! Kinda shocked she didn't answer her phone and never texted me over the weekend. Wanted to make plans with her again soon and I assumed it was a good sign that she texted me immediately after the date saying she had a lot of fun. Why is she doing a 180 now? Am I wasting my time? Don't understand why she went from so hot to so cold so quickly.
universalangel Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Shes not interested. Shes tryin to not hurt ur feelings. I would do yourself a favor and forget her and move on. Its funny when you do that, ppl come back to you

It's a direct question, and if she evades it or says no, you can stop worrying. Asking won't make you look desperate. If you ask once, she says no, and you keep asking, that's a different story.
Ambivalence Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Major problems here. Stop being needy and make her come running back. If you show that you are happy without her (i.e. you don't need to text her/call her), she will be much more attracted.
fitnessfan365 Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 In most cases, a post date text from a girl is a green light. In your position, I would have texted the next day and cut to the chase. "When are you free to have fun with me again?" Let her respond and then say "Great, I'll call you tonight to finalize. What time is good to talk?" Then after she tells a time you call her as promised. Based on how it went down, you beat around the bush a bit and could have been more assertive. Most likely she got bored. Unfortunately a lot of women these days have really short attention spans. That's why I say throw out all the afraid to look needy crap, and just get to the point. Girls that you like you won't care, and it helps eliminate the girls that are wasting your time.
