Boooberry123 Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Hey guys So there's this guy I like. Gone on two dates. He likes me back since he initiated the dates and there are plans for a third. I'm 28 and he is 38. Problem is that we don't look alike and you know how you are attracted to people who look like you? I have big eyes, he has small ones, I have a small nose his is bigger, our face shape is different. I have dimples and he doesn't. People say that I look like Miranda Kerr.... would he still like me 100% if we don't look alike?
h0000 Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 LMAO. According to you people should either be attracted to their siblings or the same sex.
Author Boooberry123 Posted May 1, 2015 Author Posted May 1, 2015 But I know of many couples who literally could be siblings. They look so alike.
Syberia Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 I am white. The first girl I ever dated (and was, of course, attracted to) was black. Must have been a lot of resemblance there!
mortensorchid Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 You don't look alike? Studies have shown that if you look at married couples through the years, if you compare their first photos together to their more recent ones, they start looking more and more alike. This is because you adapt one another's small habits the longer you are together. This includes, unconsciously, one's facial expressions and body language. So if you are worried about that fact, don't be because eventually she will adapt some behaviors and even expressions similar. So don't worry about it, it's not a big deal.
wb1988 Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 It would make more sense to say "We look alike. Would he be attracted to me?".
PegNosePete Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 you are attracted to people who look like you No, I am not attracted to bald guys with beards. 3

It seems to me that most men and women that marry do not resemble their spouse. Yet I have seen a few couples over the years where they resembled each other so much that you would of thought that they were brother and sister, maybe twins. So I would not worry about lack of resemblance as long as you find him good looking.
joseb Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Not sure where you got this idea. As others said, if it were true you would be most attracted to your siblings. I'm generally attracted to people who are very different looking to me - I think it may be partly due to the unconscious urge to find a mate with different immunity genes.
sandylee1 Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 You don't need to believe every one of those sayings. Just date and see how it goes.
fitnessfan365 Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 So is this another derivative of the saying "Go f**k yourself"? To be honest OP, you're sounding kind of ridiculous right now. Looking similar to someone has NOTHING to do with attraction in my opinion.
