if i sent her flowers to her work/or house would that be a bad idea?

would it make me look desperate?

I would not like this. Seems desperate/creepy this soon.

Please don't do this. I would be turned off.

If you want to send flowers, text the flower emoticon.

Maybe on the sixth date, you can bring her a bunch of tulips or paperwhites or a messy bunch of wildflowers. (springtime) But nothing delivered yet.

Too soon for flowers.

A nice thought, but not the right time.

NO do not send flowers until you both said outloud you want to date each other.

It happened to me twice a man sent flowers after a 1st and 2nd date without being sure I felt the same for them and it was a huge turn off.

Nope, don't do it yet.

If you want to send her something then find an interesting article or blog post on some interest she's mentioned. Text or email her the link and say "I ran across this and thought of you". That's it. It sends the exact right message of:

1. You listen to her and heard her express her interest in something

2. You ran across the post or article because you share that interest, share a tangential interest or were reading up her interest

3. You were thinking of her and wanted to connect with her on her ground - her interest.

No, too early. My BF brought me flowers, but at the 7th date. After the second is too soon.

If don't know favorite colour or favorite flower ( rather sure you don't ). Bad idea, if do know these things, bad idea. If have been with some time and know these things, perhaps even bad idea. It's always come across as a pandering generic thouthless gift to me. Anything could be put in the place of watching flowers die.

Anyhow the girls said no, that's all you need...Unless want to be put on backburner.

I agree with everyone else. It's way too soon for flowers.

I think flowers should be spur of the moment and not planned a thought that comes and you follow it......i do think second date si too soon to have those thoughts.....you dont know her well enough ....does she even like flowers and what flowers does she like..like for me i am just waiting for the guy who knows that i would prefer a potted baby venus flytrap instead of roses or orchids..havent met him yet....:0)............deb

Not only is it too soon, but NEVER send a chick flowers with low interest, thinking it will raise her interest.

It won't!! She will be *more* turned off than she was before the flowers.

It wreaks of desperation... please don't do it!

It depends on the bouquet. A huge expensive thing would be over the top. Something small may be OK.

I'm kind of surprised that the other answers were so universally negative about this.

DH sent me flowers one month in & I thought it was awesome. One month is a bit later than 2 dates, though.

Yes and I am sure after a month of dating, he also knew you had high interest. :)

Big difference between your situation and the OP's.

But yeah when dating for a while, and interest is mutual, flowers are awesome!

Don't send them to "buy" my feelings though or as a way to "impress" me.

Won't work.

What would you ladies think if he sent or took her a gourmet sandwich instead?

It seems like a nice gesture she'd like and less of a "I love you"

Just a thought alright, don't blast me for the idea.

OP if you really want to do the flowers how about you start smaller? Bring not send a single flower, not a rose, to her on your next date.

If you liked the guy and he sent them after the first date then you would have been happy?
