zachsack Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 (edited) I hanged out alone with this girl yesterday. It was pretty romantic, we walked along a lake in our area and talked. We were supposed to get dinner someplace, but ended up running late since we had to go to a school musical. I ended up giving her a ride and going in with her. I sat beside her, with her in the middle and her friend on the other side. Her friend and her kept whispering and looking at me and the girl just kept playfully telling her to shut up. We kept kind of playfully touching each other back in forth, nothing sexual, just shoulder bumps and pokes. Nearing the end of the show, we started holding hands. I guess we were both shy because we would not shut up about who the sweat belonged to. In the end, she had to leave early, and when her friend started walking away, she told her to wait, and she gave me a hug. Later on, when the show ended, she was actually still there in the front doors waiting. I tried talking but she was kind of having fun with her friend. So I just walked away. I felt like I ditched her and hurt her feelings. But later on that night, I texted her that we should get together sometime again and she agreed. Should I ask her out the next day (today)? I can only do it over text or snapchat. She has no phone that belongs to her. I could call her home phone. I much rather do it in person, but that won't happen until Monday when I see her again. And I feel like last nights excitement will kind of die out by then. So is today a good time to ask? And how should I ask? (Was thinking of snapchat, or home phone if I can get it). d0nnivain Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 I'm glad your date went well. I think you can ask her out Monday. Do send her a quick pithy message via social media but never ask somebody out over social media (& really NEVER break up with somebody that way)
smackie9 Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 Phone call or in person. It shows to her that she means something to you to make that kind of effort.

d0nnivain Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 So a quick pithy message as in? I'm old enough to be your mom; I'm actually probably older than your mom. What I think is pithy would probably be over the average 15 year old's head & come across as pretentious, stilted & academic so I can't give you a concrete example. Sorry.

I have never heard of the word pithy.
