CK1dad Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 (edited) Hi All, Went out on a blind date last week with a really nice lady. Starbucks sit down and chatted for about an hour and a half. Lovely lady, cool, definately some commonalities in both our lives. Awesome! As we left I told her I would like to see her again and she said she would as well. Tried to pin her down for the weekend and she gave me a maybe as she had a lot of paper work to catch up on. Later that night I text ... really nice to meet you, had a good time .. blah blah blah. No response to that ... hmmmmm okay. Phoned on Saturday ... short conversation .. asked her if she was up to hanging out that night. Answer .. "no" need to still do some work and not feeling grounded for work tomorrow .. but would like to take a "rain check" hmmm okay ... fair enough. She did mention she would probably bring her son to a "family activity" that I always bring my kids to. I told her it was canceled for the upcoming week as it fell on a Pro D day at school. Not really any sort of date or even a place to talk because of the activity itself. Fun for sure !! So I left it a okay I'll call mid week (which to me is Wenesday or Thursday) to which she said okay. I call last night no answer. At this point I leave a message hope you are well, give me a shout sometime if you would like to chat on the phone or set up a time to hang out. I mean what else can I say. Also when I phoned I was heading into an activity .. I mentioned that on the message so I didn't really leave anytime last night open to a call. Like I wasn't sitting at home waiting for her call. Ball in her court as far as I see. I mean obviously I am trying to gauge interest. She did say to the friend who set us up on Wednesday. "Oh CK!dad didn't phone ?!" But I did Thursday. So I guess my question is did I jump to "Ball in your court" to early? Perhaps should I have just said hey on the message I left her on the phone and try again? I will not contact again at this point as I don't want to seem deperate nor am I desperate. Edited April 24, 2015 by CK1dad missed some info
