Fun2BMe Posted April 18, 2005 Posted April 18, 2005 I have not felt like going to work lately and feel like staying home. How can I get motivated again??? I need help. My work environment is ok, I just feel lazy.
cuties Posted April 18, 2005 Posted April 18, 2005 hmmm... been there! do you have any personal days that you can take? if you can have a little 3-day weekend, that might get the lazy bug out of your system. it's always fun to be home on a monday when everyone else has to work. there's just something that is naughty about it. of course, that might make you want to stay home even more. try going to sleep earlier so you have more energy in the morning, and have a cup of coffee before getting to work. or try exercising in the morning before work. exercise makes you happier, so maybe it won't seem so bad to go to work.
MWC_LifeBeginsAt40 Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 I think it's called Spring Fever. I get myself to work, and then the concentration just isn't there these days. Might I suggest going outside for a brisk walk! The fresh air will do you good. Now if I could take my own advice...
moimeme Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 I've been going, but really feeling trapped so I'm going reluctantly. Time for a change, I think.
HokeyReligions Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 Plan to rearrange your desk or workspace. A couple times a year I will go in to work and totally rearrange everything on and in my desk and office. Maybe exchange some desk accessories (like a new stapler in a new color, or a fun pen cup or business card holder, etc. It helps stimulate creativity and reduce bordom (especially when you can't remember where you put something! JK) It works for me--try it and maybe it will work for you.
tiki Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 Go without a paycheck for a week. That should get you back into the swing of things.
