So, a little background. I've known this girl for over 2 years, we've been friends for that time, not very close but certainly good friends. About a month ago, i asked her out. We went out for lunch but spent most of the time talking (like 4-5 hours).

We haven't actually been on another date since then. I'm still in varsity/college (22 yrs old, she's the same age but out of varsity). She's come over to my room at my residence a few times and things were going great, been seeing her for a month now. We also used to text a lot, we have been texting everyday since we got back in touch (2 months straight).

The 1 problem is she never really sticks to plans. I've asked to come over plenty of times but sometimes she says yes, then cancels last minute. She does have things to do so i don't read much into it. But now i haven't seen her in 2 weeks. she also takes much much longer to respond to texts (if she responds at all)

The 1 day she took long to respond, i texted her and said i'm gonna give her some space and sort out my own things as well, but i ended it by saying i look forward to seeing her again. She responded by telling me she was busy with some earth day event, even showed pics so i know its not bull. She then asked if she should come over and i said yes. That was supposed to be today and she didn't show, when i asked if she was still coming, she said no sorry, i'm in (another city) which makes sense to me, i won't include why here. but she still never told me about not coming.

Point is, she seems a bit distant compared to earlier on in our dating. This is mainly because she doesn't text as much or initiate as often, and i haven't seen her in a while. i should also add that her father was in hospital over the weekend and i think that shook her up a bit. Not sure what i should do though. Anyone who's still reading, any advice or input would be appreciated
