spiderowl Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 Guys, how much advance notice of a date would you instinctively give to your prospective date? If you wanted to go out at the weekend, when would you arrange that? I don't feel that contacting Friday afternoon is enough notice somehow, or am I just being awkward?
fitnessfan365 Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 I usually try to give a woman 48-72 hrs notice. However, I've found that trying to schedule a date too far out usually leads to flake outs. It's like in sales. You want to strike more when the iron is hot and when attraction is higher. Give a woman tons of time to over think, and she'll come up with excuses on why to back out. Plus, I also like trying to schedule a first date for a few days out because it's a short enough time where you don't have to text in between. If you leave a ton of space in between, women have a tendency to blow up your phone and try to be your texting buddy. Ironically this actually lowers their attraction in the long run.

Thanks for your comment on this fitnessfan. So you would think that contacting late Friday afternoon for a meet over the weekend is not enough notice? It feels like it's not enough notice!
clia Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 Thanks for your comment on this fitnessfan. So you would think that contacting late Friday afternoon for a meet over the weekend is not enough notice? It feels like it's not enough notice! I'm a woman, but I expected 48-72 hours notice. (Honestly, I would usually have plans, so anything shorter than that wouldn't work anyway.) The last minute planners always made me feel like a last resort. Maybe a Sunday night dinner if he contacted on late Friday afternoon, but IMO that's far too late for anything on Friday or Saturday. 1
Methodical Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 Yeah, 48 - 72 hours is ideal bc people make plans. However, it's always worth a shot. Worst thing that happens is she declines or tells you she has other plans. If she has other plans, now would be the time to try lining up something for the near future, ie, an evening dinner or a date for next weekend. 1
