When you have mutual friends with someone you have a crush on then it gives you some advantage because you can use some of those mutual friends to get a message back to her subtly as a way to test the waters to see if she feels the same way. If the worst case scenario comes to pass and she doesn't feel the same way and confronts you about it then you can deny that you ever said that you like her. Unless mutual friends are tape recording the conversation she has no evidence to use against you in a court of law. It just becomes a he said she said thing and there's no way she's going to know the truth about what was said.

What do you think? Is it a good idea to use mutual friends to get a message to a woman I have a crush on?

It's an awesome idea.....if you're in 7th grade. Otherwise, not so much.

It's cowardly. And most friends will not be discreet. I mean, how many ways are there to say "Roger likes you. Do you like Roger?" Once someone speaks on your behalf, the girl is thinking "Is his voice broken? Why isn't HE telling me this?" and is marking you down as a wimp. Also, send in a male friend, and she'll end up with him. Send in a female friend and she'll dish all about you doing more harm than good.

I think it looks a bit pathetic. Just approach her and talk to her, take her for a coffee or something. You'll soon know if she's interested. What's the worst that could happen? Don't be a wimp!

It's someone who asks different versions of the same question over and over again like a broken record and is banned. Not sure if that's why banned, but that's how you know it's him. Asks the same question, gets the same answers, doesn't like the answers, keeps asking the same question.

But there's always a chance a new person could have a similar question, so unless I'm sure, I may respond.
