All it says is that church doesn't answer to a larger denomination and it can run from fundamentalist to universalist. Mainline catholic like liturgy to full Pentecostal Holy Rolling. Then we don't know how Catholic are you. And with her being a nominal Catholic by baptism and possibly confirmation we don't how fundamental your Bishop will be in dealing with her assuming he did not approve of her leaving the church.
